Team History
| The Guns have been the team name since 2006 and were previously named Don Cherry's and before that Mikes Heating and Air Conditioning.
The team has been a member of the Thursday Night Men's League for over 30 years and previously played at Durham Fields.
Well known past players are Bob LINDSAY, Mark and Paul Goreski, Jim Chilvers, Pete Oosterholt, and the Late Larry PILKEY. The Glory Years!!!
Special mention to Scott Gordon who a player/co-manager with myself and the team owes a lot to him for his dedication of over 20 years. He also was the organizer of a yearly Golf tourny that would have 80 entries per year and raised thousands of dollars for the team. Thx Scooter! All have since retired, but remain in contact and are welcome back should they choose.
I myself am the longest serving member of 31 years.
The team is a usual tough battle when it comes to the playoffs. We are regulars at the Niagara Fastball tourny in August.
The team is hoping an influx of younger players will rejuvenate this team back to the glory years. . | |
